Welcome to the Bristol & Clifton Golf Club
Bristol & Clifton is a beautiful, undulating, country golf course of distinctive character, established in 1891. It is situated just 4 miles from junction 19 of the M5, 4 miles from Bristol and only a short drive from Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. You will find here the epitome of an English Members golf club. We welcome all visitors to our club. We will try to provide you with all the comforts of your own club whilst always looking after our own members as much as we can.
The Club is up to date – but we are also proud and very aware of our past and heritage.
We expect everyone to dress properly, whilst not being over stringent.
We have fairway watering, and an excellent natural drainage system.
We have a separate 'two tee start' for 2 balls and 3/4 balls which alternates throughout the day and according to those times you can start when you like except on competition days when we have starting times.
Our only Society day is Thursday to enable members to have full use of the course the rest of the week.
The bar is open from 11 o’clock and we have food available all day.
The pro’s shop is always manned.
There are three different practice areas where you can practice or have lessons –
a main area with driving bays where balls are bought from the pro;
a short game area for practicing pitching from up to 100 yards, chipping and bunker shots;
and another long practice ground where players may use their own balls.
