Club Rules
| Junior Rules 1.Playing Time 1.1. Play. No Junior may play on the course unaccompanied until he or she has satisfied the Professional that they have attained a reasonable standard of play and knowledge of the Rules and Etiquette of Golf. This is to try to ensure everyone can enjoy their golf. 1.2. Playing with an Adult Member - Juniors with a club junior handicap may play at any time in the company of an adult member except when play is restricted. An adult should be able to provide guidance in respect of other players. 1.3. Week days. Juniors may play at any time on weekdays unless there is a Club Competition or a tee restriction, but see Rule 1.4. This allows juniors to maximise their use of the course at off-peak times. 1.4. Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. At weekends and on Bank Holidays Juniors with a club junior handicap may play after 1.30 pm or after any competition whichever is later, but see below. Adult members can often only play at weekends. 1.5. Handicap of 18 (boys) 25 (girls). Boys who have reached a handicap of 18, and girls who have reached a handicap of 24, are not subject to Junior restrictions at weekends. Since these Juniors are eligible to play in the Club (adult) competitions it is reasonable that they be subject to adult starting times. 1.6. First Tee. Juniors should invite adult members to play first on the 1st and 10th tees. Normal golf etiquette applies at other times. 1.7. Age. A Junior has to be over 10 years of age or under 18 on 1st January to be eligible for junior membership. Juniors age 12 or under may not play on their own. They must be accompanied by an adult or have two other juniors with them. This is a safety rule to look after the safety of younger players. 2. Competitions 2.1 Any Junior may play in the Junior competitions provided that they have a junior or adult handicap. Helps to ensure that juniors can compete fairly. 2.2. Boys may enter Club (adult) competitions when they achieve a handicap of 18 or better; girls may enter the Ladies competitions according to the LGU Rules. 3. Junior Clubhouse Rules. 3.1. Dress. Juniors must observe the same dress regulations as adult members in the Clubhouse and on the course. In short No jeans, no collarless tee shirts, caps must be worn the correct way round. Shirts must be tucked in. Proper golfing shoes must be worn on the course. Golf bags may not be shared. See the Club notice board for a full list of the club dress rules. 3.2. Junior Room. Juniors not accompanied by an adult should use the junior room when in the clubhouse. 3.3. Behaviour.
