Societies
| General Societies are always welcome at Bristol & Clifton Golf Club. Thursday is the main society day when the course can be set up exactly as they may wish. Other days can be booked but normally only for smaller parties and they must fit in with the members. The Player Score Entry system that the Club is having installed can be used by societies after a short induction. This will allow the use of a television leader board and the most up to date facilities for checking your cards. Bristol & Clifton Golf Club is not a Golf Club for beginners. We do expect that all your players hold an official handicap, can play to a reasonable standard and will not hold up any play. We recommend that Stableford Competitions be the format for the day. Each player must have his own set of Clubs, proper golf shoes and is expected to know and carry out the normal etiquette of golf. When a suitable day has been agreed for your event, we shall ask you to complete a brief Booking Form to confirm the date and arrangements and the green fees and other costs that are agreed. A small deposit is also requested and confirmation of numbers are required at least 72 hours before the event for catering purposes and green fee numbers. Your reserved tee times and meal times are pre-arranged. You will be notified of these times in your final confirmation of the booking. If for some unforeseen reason the club has to cancel the day due to the state of the course or for some administrative reason then it has the right so to do. This will not be done except for the most urgent reason and you will be notified as long in advance as possible and any deposit refunded. Details of Dress Rules and detailed arrangements for the day will be sent to you prior to the event. The Club Professional and his staff together with the Managing Secretary and his staff are waiting to help ensure that your day at the Club is a complete success. They will be happy to advise you on the arrangements and assist with score cards etc. and prizes for your competitors may be purchased from our Professional's Shop where a 10% discount will be happily allowed. | Booking Form |
